KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, scored his third IPL century on Saturday at the Brabourne Stadium, off just 56 deliveries.

As captain, Rahul has two hundred. While leading an IPL team, Adam Gilchrist, Sanju Samson, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virender Sehwag each had one century.

Rahul struck nine fours and five sixes way to his century. He is a terrific timing of the ball and has a wide range of strokes in his arsenal. He also became the second player in IPL history to record multiple hundreds as captain, following Virat Kohli, who has five hundred

In an IPL 2022 match versus Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler also scored the first century. Rahul has now scored three consecutive centuries in the IPL, making him the only Indian player to do so. He had previously scored 132* and 100* against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, respectively.

This year, Rahul, who previously led the Punjab Kings, relocated to Lucknow. He was also assigned the responsibility of leading the newcomers, who have won three games out of five.

Rahul, who is 29 years old, has reached a significant milestone by playing in his 100th IPL match. In his 100th appearance in the league, he became the first player to score 100 points.
