IPL 2022: We Saw Him Giving Suggestions To A World-class Bowler Like Kagiso Rabada – Harbhajan Singh Hails “Fearless” Pacer Arshdeep Singh

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh lavished praise on young Punjab Kings (PBKS) left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh and mentioned that the 23-year-old was seen giving suggestions to world-class pacer Kagiso Rabada on which line and length to bowl.

Harbhajan said that Arshdeep is a “fearless bowler” and he has “got a lion’s heart”. He added that the left-arm pacer flourishes during tense moments of the game.

Former India off-spinner also talked about the moment when Arshdeep was seen having a conversation with the star South Africa pacer during the match when Rabada had conceded a couple of boundaries.

“The best thing about Arshdeep Singh is that he’s a fearless bowler. He’s got a lion’s heart. While many players get bogged down during pressure situations but he flourishes more often than not during tense moments,” said Harbhajan on Star Sports’ Cricket Live. 

“There is so much confidence in this bowler and the belief that he can do well during tense moments. The other day we saw him giving suggestions to a world-class bowler like Kagiso Rabada on which line to bowl to,” he added.

Harbhajan also opined that the left-arm pacer of Arshdeep’s calibre should be immediately included in the India National Cricket Team.

“This shows how involved he is in the game and doesn’t shy away from sharing his thoughts with the senior players. He bowls yorkers at will in the death overs. I believe a left-arm pacer of this calibre should get a chance to play for India sooner rather than later,” Harbhajan said.

Previously some reports came out suggesting that the Punjab Kings pacer is in the line for India call-up for the home T20I series against South Africa.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep has picked 10 wickets for Punjab Kings in 13 outings in IPL 2022 at an average of 36.00, an economy of 7.82, and a strike rate of 27.60. However, the numbers don’t depict his true potential.
