Aakash Chopra has Stated that Deepak Chahar’s injury-plagued unavailability cannot be attributed to the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) lackluster performance in the IPL 2022.
Chahar, the defending champions’ big-ticket purchase at the IPL 2022 Auction, has been ruled out of the event due to a variety of injuries. CSK finished the current Indian Premier League season with only eight points, their poorest finish in the tournament’s history.
Aakash Chopra on CSK’s batting performance against RR:
Aakash Chopra, speaking about CSK’s batting performance in Friday’s game, emphasized the topsy-turvy character of their innings. He remarked:
“It was a unique contest because it combined T10, ODI, and Test cricket in one game. In the first six overs, they batted in a T10 pattern. Who else in the powerplay has as many hits as Moeen Ali?”

“After that, wickets fall, Devon Conway is out; it was a 50-50 call for me since the ball was just touching the stumps, and the zing bails don’t fall these days when they contact so lightly.”
In their given 20 overs, CSK posted a score of 150/6. In the end, it wasn’t enough, as RR triumphed by five wickets with two deliveries to spare. In the IPL 2022 points standings, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are only one place ahead of the Mumbai Indians (MI).
