Kuldeep Yadav, a 27-year-old bowler for the Delhi Capitals, has recounted coach Ponting’s encouraging words before the team’s opening encounter of the season.
The Delhi Capitals kicked off IPL 2022 with a resounding victory over the Mumbai Indians in their first encounter. However, the franchise has gone through ups and downs since then, and it presently sits seventh in the points standings with three victories from seven games.
IPL 2022 would be nothing short of a comeback story for Kuldeep, who appears to have pulled out the finest in the left-arm wrist-spinner for India by competing for a new side.
Despite appearing in just five IPL 2020 matches and not participating in a single game for Kolkata Knight Riders last season, DC is making the most of Kuldeep, and the chinaman spinner seems to be enjoying every minute of it.
The resurgence in Kuldeep’s bowling is apparent, as he correctly pointed out. Except for the match against Rajasthan Royals, he has performed admirably in all of his appearances.
Kuldeep opened IPL 2022 with numbers of 3/18 against Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, and improved on that with 4/35 against his previous franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.
