Kuldeep Yadav has been named as the star performance for the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their IPL 2022 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders by Aakash Chopra.

Rishabh Pant’s side won by 44 runs, with Kuldeep Yadav taking 4/35. For his match-winning spell, the wrist-spinner was rightly named Player of the Match.

Yadav received a lot of accolades from Aakash Chopra. He stated, ”

“Kuldeep gave an outstanding performance. It was a high-scoring match, and anytime there were issues, Kuldeep Yadav was handed the ball, and he delivered. Kuldeep has already contributed much to this competition.”

Chopra continued,  “I was with you for three years, I was asking you to free me, you were not releasing me, you were not playing me, you kept me on the bench, today I came in front of you and I showed you what stuff I am made of,” Kuldeep Yadav said.

Pant has even utilized Yadav against rival big-hitters, as per Aakash Chopra. He stated,

“Four wickets were taken by Kuldeep Yadav. He was nothing short of amazing. He bowled at various periods; it wasn’t that he bowled restrictively in the middle overs; instead, he is now held back till the end, as he was previously for Pollard and now for Russell.”

“He took wickets one after the other, dismissing Shreyas Iyer. In a four-over session, he took four wickets, the first of which was costly. That was the final nail in the coffin, as he continued to pick up wickets, including two or three in the penultimate over, and even ran and took a diving catch himself.”

The Delhi Capitals put on a strong performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders, winning by 44 runs to move up to sixth place in the Indian Premier League table.
