The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are still looking for their effective balance for the IPL 2022 season, as per Aakash Chopra.

For Saturday’s Indian Premier League match against the Gujarat Titans, Shreyas Iyer’s team made a slew of adjustments to their starting XI. The modifications, unfortunately, did not provide the anticipated outcomes, as they lost the game by eight runs, their fifth loss of the competition.

Chopra emphasized the team’s lineup and batting order’s unpredictability.

“The city of Kolkata has seen significant transformations. Sam Billings replaced Aaron Finch in the lineup. Sheldon Jackson is replaced by Rinku (Singh). Tim Southee replaces Pat Cummins, who was released.

“Kolkata appears to be a squad that doesn’t know who they’re going to play because they’ve used four different opening combinations in eight games,” he stated.

Aakash Chopra discusses KKR spinner difficulties:

The KKR bowling attack and Varun Chakravarthy, according to Aakash Chopra, have also been unsuccessful in IPL 2022. He stated,

“So much is going on right now. Varun Chakravarthy is attempting to get his form and length perfect. Fast bowling does not appear to have any penetration.”

KKR’s batting stalwarts, according to Aakash Chopra, have also played to disappoint so far anyway.

“Nitish Rana has only played one inning, Shreyas Iyer has performed two innings, Venkatesh Iyer has played one inning, and that’s it. No one is attempting to flee. This team appears to be in full disarray at the moment,” he stated.

He also stated that the team has yet to find a stable opening duo.

“I’m not sure why Venkatesh Iyer is being dispatched to this number; he started as an opener. Sunil Narine has taken over as the new opener, replacing Sam Billings. Kolkata is fragile, Kolkata appears wobbly,” he went on to say.

They have dropped to seventh place in the points rankings after four consecutive losses. They are now battling to qualify for the tournament’s knockout stage.
