DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction

Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs. Put into bat, RR rode on Jos Buttler’s 61-ball 103 innings, which was studded with nine boundaries and five maximums, to post a challenging 217 for five.

In reply, Shreyas Iyer blasted 85 off 51 balls and Aaron Finch scored 58 off 28 balls but KKR was eventually bowled out for 210 in 19.4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal was the most successful bowler for RR, claiming five wickets for 40 in his quota of four overs including a hat-trick.

On the other hand, Gujarat’s David Miller produced a knock for the ages as he remained unbeaten on 94 to steer the Gujarat Titans to an incredible three-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings in their last IPL 2022 match.

The Titans had endured a disastrous start to their run-chase with the side reeling at 48/4 in 8 overs. However, David Miller, alongside Rashid Khan (40), forged a match-winning 80-run partnership for the Titans as they secured an incredible win with a ball to spare. With the win, the Titans solidified their position at the top of the table with 10 points.

Gujarat Titans (GT) stand-in skipper Rashid Khan played a stunning cameo in his debut match as the captain to help his franchise chase down a stiff target of 170 against the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rashid Khan scored a 21-ball 40 studded with 2 fours and 3 sixes, while David Miller finished unbeaten on 94* off just 51 balls.

During GT’s previous game, skipper Hardik Pandya had smashed a 52-ball 87 but he was walking around gingerly during the bowling phase. He complained of stiffness after the game and the management rightfully decided not to risk his fitness.

On the other hand, with the exception of Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell to an extent, no Kolkata Knight Riders batter has been able to play any impactful innings in their campaign. Skipper Shreyas Iyer is KKR’s leading run-scorer with 236 runs in 7 matches while all-rounder Andre Russell has scored 179 runs in 6 innings.

But Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowling is their main concern as apart from Umesh Yadav who has picked 10 scalps, no other bowler has been able to pick more than 6 scalps. They have been too expensive too as depicted by their economic rates. Andre Russell (10.82), Pat Cummins (12), and Shivam Mavi (10.8) have a disastrous start to their campaign.

Varun Chakravarthy’s bowling average this season is 55.25 as he has been able to pick only 4 scalps in 7 games and is almost certain to be axed for the next match. Mohammed Nabi and Anukul Roy are waiting on the bench and will get chances as the season progresses.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya who may return against KKR had a dream start to his IPL 2022 campaign. He has already scored 228 runs averaging 76 and is the leading run-getter for Gujarat. Shubman Gill has also scored 200 runs and will try to give his best against his previous franchise.
