Evin Lewis of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) took an excellent high catch of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Shivam Dube, despite looking directly into the floodlights in the ongoing 7th match of the IPL 2022 tournament at the Brabourne Stadium on March 31, 2022.
Ravindra Jadeja’s debut as the CSK captain fell flat as they were outplayed and outclassed by Shreyas Iyer’s debut as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain at Wankhede. Meanwhile, LSG captained by KL Rahul were coming off a defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans (GT) in a match, that they should’ve won.

Chennai Super Kings were put into bat first after Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and chose to bowl. Chennai Super Kings made three changes as Devon Conway went out for Moeen Ali, Adam Milne, struggling with a side strain made way for Mukesh Choudhary and Mitchell Santner made way for all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius as CSK were a pacer short.
LSG made one change in bringing in Andre Tye as their fourth overseas player.
Floodlights Cannot Keep Evin Lewis From Taking A Well Judged Catch To Dismiss Shivam Dube On 49
Ruturaj Gaikwad had another off day as he was unfortunately run out for 1 run. But then Robin Uthappa (50) and Moeen Ali added 56 runs for the second wicket. Both the batters looked extremely comfortable out there with Uthappa reaching his half-century in just 25 balls with 8 fours and 1 six. He was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi, getting out LBW via a DRS review.

Moeen Ali fell to Avesh Khan after a 22-ball 35, in which he hit 4 fours and 2 sixes, leaving CSK at 106/3. But then Ambati Rayudu made 27 in 20 balls, while Shivam Dube promoted to number 4, made 49 off 30 with 5 fours and 2 sixes.
He looked good for a half-century but skied one straight into the air without much distance. Evin Lewis covered some ground and took the catch despite floodlights in his eyes.
