Star Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was involved in a comical run out in the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on, Tuesday, May 10.

When Marcus Stoinis came out to bat the Lucknow Super Giants were in major trouble as they were losing wickets at regular intervals and were completely down and out.

The Australian all-rounder was expected to help his side but he failed to perform well and got run out on the second ball of the 12th over, which was bowled by star leg-spinner Rashid Khan.

Rashid delivered a fullish length ball on the stumps and LSG batter Deepak Hooda was able to sweep it to deep square leg and he went for the single. Marcus Stoinis thought there was an easy double and he turned back for the second run but Hooda didn’t respond. GT fielder David Miller fired a throw at the striker’s end and the wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha was able to dismiss Marcus Stoinis

Lucknow Super Giants Batters One Again Fail Against Gujarat Titans Bowling Unit

Chasing the target, Lucknow Super Giants lost three big wickets inside the powerplay overs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock was dismissed by Yash Dayal for 11 in the 4th over, captain KL Rahul was dismissed for 8 by Mohammed Shami and Karan Sharma was cleaned up by Yash Dayal for 4 in the 6th over.

Then they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and at the time of writing, Lucknow Super Giants were at 82/9

Earlier, Batting first, Gujarat Titans were off to a very slow start as in the first 6 overs they were able to score only 35 runs. Just after the strategic timeout GT captain Hardik Pandya was also cleaned up for 11 by LSG right-arm pacer Avesh Khan and after 10 overs GT were at 59/3.

In the end, Rahul Tewatia and Shubman Gill remained not out and helped Gujarat Titans post 144/4 on the board.
