Lucknow Supergiants skipper KL Rahul has led their batting unit this season scoring 451 runs with 2 centuries and 2 fifties so far. Quinton De Kock (294 runs) and Deepak Hooda (278 runs) have played some good knocks to provide support at the other end. Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, and Marcus Stoinis have contributed with the bat wherever the opportunity has arrived.

Mohsin Khan was the star of the night with figures of 4-0-16-4 in the close game for Lucknow Supergiants against Delhi. Jason Holder, Krunal Pandya, Dushmantha Chameera, and Marcus Stoinis had an off-day leaking run at over 10 RPO in the last game. Ravi Bishnoi and Krishnappa Gowtham chipped in with a wicket each in the last game to help them derail the opposition in the middle overs.

KKR’s opening woes continue as they slumped to 32/2 in the powerplay against RR with both openers dismissed cheaply. Nitish Rana (48 runs) and Shreyas Iyer (34 runs) rebuild their innings and kept the chase on track before Rinku Singh‘s 23-ball 42 runs took them over the line comfortably. Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Anukul Roy form a strong lower-order batting unit for KKR.

Umesh Yadav was superb with the ball and finished with figures of 4-1-24-1. Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy were very economical and gave just 47 runs in their combined 8 overs. Tim Southee and Shivam Mavi claimed 3 wickets between them but gave runs at a higher economy rate last night.

Lucknow Supergiants and Kolkata Knight Riders have never squared off against each other. This would be their first meeting of the season. Australia’s limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch has been really careless with his shot selections playing for KKR. He has literally thrown his wicket every now and then and this hasn’t gone well with the team. KKR’s bowling unit looks settled even without the likes of Pat Cummins and Varun Chakravarthy. The team is expected not to tinker with their bowling combination.

West Indies pacer all-rounder Jason Holder is having a bad phase with both bat and ball. He is not been used for batting much, but while bowling he is leaking too many runs.  With a flurry of bowling options in their ranks, Lucknow can afford to drop him and bring Evin Lewis who did decent for the franchise in the opening few games. There is no specific news on pacer Avesh Khan’s availability for this game. He has been struggling with injury but if he is fit he should replace Krishnappa Gowtham in the eleven.
