MI vs CSK: I Just Want To Have A Good Time And Enjoy Myself – Mukesh Choudhary After Winning Player Of The Match Award vs Mumbai Indians

Pacer Mukesh Choudhary was awarded ‘Player of the Match’ in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 that was played between Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) and Ravindra Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, on Thursday, April 21.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match and pacer Mukesh Choudhary picked the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the first over. Other Chennai Super Kings bowlers also did a good job and they were able to restrict Mumbai Indians to 155 runs. From Mumbai Indians Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav and Hrithik Shokeen played good knocks.

Chasing the target, CSK lost opener Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first over but Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu batted very well in the middle overs. In the end, MS Dhoni and Dwaine Pretorius batted exceptionally well and helped CSK win their second game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

I never thought I’d play cricket – Mukesh Choudhary

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Player of the Match award winner, Mukesh Choudhary, who picked 3 wickets for 19 runs, said that he never thought he would play cricket and recalled his days at a boarding school in Pune. He asserted:

“I never thought I’d play cricket. Was at boarding school in Pune, we had an hour’s sports period and I used to play all kinds of sports there. Tried playing cricket and seemed to be good at it.”

Mukesh Choudhary added that he feels no pressure being surrounded by the high-profile players in the team. He also said that he aims at having a good time in Chennai Super Kings. He asserted:

“Have to bowl well in the powerplay where I’m supposed to bowl three overs. There is no pressure actually, to play with such big players around you automatically takes all the pressure away. I just want to have a good time and enjoy myself.”
