Chennai Super Kings lost their previous match to Gujarat Titans. CSK batted first in the match and piled up 169-5 on the scoreboard. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad played a superb knock of 73 runs while Ambati Rayudu hit 46. Ravindra Jadeja also added crucial 22 runs.

For Gujarat Titans, they faced two ducks at the start as Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar got out for 0. Later, David Miller scored unbeaten 94 runs for the team. Rashid Khan also hit a quickfire 40 runs. LSG reached the target in the final over, winning the match by 3 wickets.
