RR vs DC: Rajasthan Royals Predicted Playing XI Against Delhi Capitals.

Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals, RR Playing 11 vs DC (Predicted), IPL 2022, Match 58, RR vs DC. Delhi Capitals face a massive challenge in the 58th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 on 11th May 2022 at 7:30 pm in Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, India.

They come here with a big defeat against the Chennai Super Kings and must win this game to keep their hopes for a playoff berth alive. The Rajasthan Royals on the other hand did well to win the last game against the Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals have been inconsistent, and their bowling attack has been a major concern for the side. Their new ball attack has looked ineffective, and the side can least afford so against the strong batting line-up that the Rajasthan Royals have.

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler has 618 runs under his belt this season and he adds a spark to the side’s batting line-up. Rajasthan Royal’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up 22 wickets and is the leading wicket-taker this season.

Sanju Samson’s side registered a comprehensive 6-wicket win against the Punjab Kings in their last game. With this win, the side has strengthened its position on the IPL 2022 points table. They chased down a huge score clinically in the end. Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson would like his bowlers to get their lines right against a very strong batting line-up of Delhi Capitals. A win here would assure them of a berth in the next round and Sanju Samson would like to secure that in this league match.

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler has been in terrific form, and he would look to set up a good opening wicket partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal in this game. Sanju Samson steadies the middle order and he would be aiming for partnerships in this game. Rajasthan Royals don’t have great firepower down the order and the team would need all-rounders Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin to deliver to the best of their abilities.

It is high time the side needs good spells with the new ball from pacers Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna who aren’t in the best of form. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been the best bowler for the side and the side would like him to stop the flow of runs in the middle overs with pacer Kuldeep Sen and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as the Delhi Capitals do have a very strong batting line-up.

Rajasthan Royals’ star batter Shimron Hetmyer has left the camp to travel back to Guyana to attend the birth of his first child. He will be going through a three-day quarantine period after his arrival to India and as a result, is likely to miss RR’s next contest against the Delhi Capitals set to be played on May 11.

The Caribbean finisher has scored 291 runs in the 11 games played so far at an average of 72.75. Of these 11 games, he has remained unbeaten on seven occasions. His strike rate of 214.28 in the death overs is massive as he has proved to be one of the most destructive finishers this season. Rassie van der Dussen, Daryl Mitchell, or James Neesham may replace him in the Rajasthan Royals playing XI.

Daryl Mitchell scored 16(24) against RCB, and managed to put on 17 runs in 20 balls against MI. Rassie van der Dussen made his debut against the Lucknow Super Giants and managed to score only 4(4). He was then continued for the clash against the Gujarat Titans where he scored a 10-ball six runs. Apart from scoring 17 runs in the game against Gujarat Titans, James Neesham also bowled a three-over spell giving away 29 runs without picking any wickets.
