MS Dhoni was reinstated as CSK captain which made an immediate impact on the side. Ruturaj Gaikwad who was struggling so far in the season was back amongst the runs, Devon Conway on his comeback game was back amongst runs as well. The top-order fired against SRH and posted a score over 200. The bowlers defended the score as normalcy was restored in the camp.

Chennai needed to win all their remaining six games to give themselves a chance of making it to the playoffs and they started that mission on a winning note. Now they need to win their last five games which seems very much possible with MS Dhoni back at the helm.

RCB have lost their last three games but ate still placed fifth on the points table. Virat Kohli’s return to form was not enough to see his team home. The side needs to be struggling at the top of the order, with Faf du Plessis now seemingly out of form.

The side has seemed to lose the plot here with three consecutive losses. WIth the points table getting tighter with every game, RCB needs to find a way to win. They need to win their last four games remaining to stay alive in the season.
