RCB vs KKR: Watch - Dinesh Karthik And Harshal Patel Survive Run-Out Chance After Mix-up

RCB batters Dinesh Karthik and Harshal Patel survived a run-out chance during a tense moment in the closing stages of Match No. 6 in the IPL 2022 season between RCB and KKR.

The incident occurred in the penultimate over of RCB’s run chase. Dinesh Karthik had tucked the ball towards point where Umesh Yadav quickly grabbed the ball and had a throw at the striker’s end.

However, he failed to notice that both Harshal and Karthik were at the same end due to serious miscommunication. There was nobody backing up for the throw and Karthik had more than enough time to run across and make it at the other end.

Meanwhile, KKR was restricted to 128 courtesy of an all-round bowling performance from the RCB bowling attack. Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of the bowlers while Harshal Patel took two wickets during the middle-overs, including that of Andre Russell.

Russell top-scored with 25 while several other batters enjoyed starts. Eventually, they could only muster up 128 on the board. However, RCB made it tough for themselves as they lost their top-order within the first three overs.

Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee combined to put a masterclass of swing bowling and had RCB in deep trouble. They needed a strong effort from David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford to rebuild the innings and it worked out in their favor.
