Later, Rahul Tripathi scored 58 for SRH but they were eventually bowled out for 125, losing the match by 67 runs. Wanindu Hasranaga bagged a 5-wicket haul.

Punjab Kings lost their previous game against Rajasthan Royals. Batting first, RR posted 189-5 with a 56-run knock by Jonny Bairstow and 38 by Jitesh Sharma. Later, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 68 runs for the RR while Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hetmyer scored 31 runs each. RR won the match by 6 wickets in the end.
