West Indian all-rounder Romario Shepherd became a millionaire at the IPL 2022 mega auction as he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a whopping price of INR 7.75 crores.

Shepherd was in the sights of five franchises as each of them tried to make a bid for him but it was SRH who came out trumps in the end and will avail the services of the big all-rounder.

Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians fought it out with initial bids and they went past INR 2.5 crores. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) then hopped in to fight with MI. As MI bowed out, SRH made a grand entrance into the scheme of things.

Both franchises didn’t hesitate in raising the paddle but as soon as the price neared INR 5.75 crores, CSK was out. Another late entrance was made, this time by Rajasthan Royals.
