Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings Prediction, Who Will Win Today’s IPL Match Between RCB and CSK? IPL 2022, Match 49, RCB vs CSK. The 49th match will be contested between RCB vs CSK on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 7.30 PM in MCA Stadium, Pune. Most recently, CSK has lost against Kolkata, Lucknow, Punjab, Hyderabad, and Gujarat. Ravindra Jadeja’s (who handed over the captaincy to MS Dhoni) side has had a poor start to the season with six losses.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, will be hoping to get those two points to move up to 12 and into a more comfortable place among the top teams in IPL season 15.

Chennai Super Kings won the previous game against SunRisers Hyderabad under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. MS Dhoni made a strong return to captaincy as he led Chennai Super Kings to a 13-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MCA Stadium on Sunday night.

Asked to bat, Chennai posted 202 for two in their 20 overs, and in response, Hyderabad finished on 189 for six in their 20 overs. Chennai got off to a fantastic start as their openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway put on a massive stand. They scored runs at will and at a good pace.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was getting close to a hundred but he got anxious and was dismissed for 99 off 57 balls with six boundaries and six sixes. Devon Conway finished on an unbeaten 85 off 55 balls with eight boundaries and four sixes. In the end, Chennai finished on 202 for two in their 20 overs.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli finally came back to form by scoring 58 off 53 with the help of six fours and a six while Rajat Patidar made 52 off 32. Then late hitting from Glenn Maxwell (33 off 18) and Mahipal Lomror (16 off 8) helped them finish on a high of 170/6. But still, Gujarat won by 6 wickets.

However, not for the first time this season, Rahul Tewatia and David Miller dragged Gujarat Titans out of trouble, giving the table-toppers their eighth win in nine games in the process- the best-ever start by any team in an IPL season. When Gujarat Titans were 95 for 4, Royal Challengers Bangalore had the momentum, but an unbroken 79-run stand between Rahul Tewatia and David Miller consigned Faf du Plessis’ men to a third straight defeat.

In their previous encounter in IPL 2022, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered their first victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 after defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 23 runs at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

CSK reached a massive total of 216/4 thanks to Shivam Dube’s 95* and Robin Uthappa’s 88, before Maheesh Theekshana’s fantastic four-wicket haul, helped CSK secure their first win of the season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will go into the match against Chennai on the back of a three-match losing streak. In their previous clash against the Gujarat Titans (GT), they went down by six wickets. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar hit the fifties for RCB, but GT chased down the target of 171 with ease.

When Chennai and Bangalore met in the first half of IPL 2022, CSK’s Shivam Dube (95* off 46) and Robin Uthappa (88 off 50) starred in a 23-run win. CSK put up 216 for 4 batting first and then held RCB to 193 for 9.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has 10 points from as many games with 5 wins and 5 losses and is placed 5th while CSK is languishing at 9th place in the points table with 6 points having won 3 and lost 6 games in the IPL 2022 points table.

Dwayne Bravo is CSK’s top wicket-taker with 14 scalps after eight games, whereas Shivam Dube is their top scorer with 247 runs at an average of 35.29. Announcing CSK’s changes at the toss, skipper MS Dhoni said Dwayne Bravo is “not fit” for the game against Hyderabad but only mentioned that Shivam Dube “also moves out” of the team. Pacers Deepak Chahar and Adam Milne have already been ruled out from IPL 2022 for injuries.

While Virat Kohli scored a half-century in his last outing against Gujarat Titans, he took 53 balls to make 58 which put the other batters under pressure. There are some loopholes in the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s bowling line-up as well with Mohammed Siraj being off-color this season.

According to match data scrutiny and probing from previous seasons, Chennai Super Kings have the best chance of winning the match versus RCB like the previous time. RCB, on the other hand, will put up a tough battle against CSK, but CSK will triumph in this match just like the last encounter.
