Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Titans Head To Head Records, IPL 2022, Match 67, RCB vs GT. It is a do-or-die game for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they take on the table-toppers already qualified Gujarat Titans 67th game of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 19th May night (7:30 pm).

The Royal Challengers Bangalore went down against the Punjab Kings in their last game and must win their last league game for a place in the playoffs. The Gujarat Titans are comfortably placed at the top of the points table and defeated Chennai Super Kings coming into this game.

The Gujarat Titans have won 10 out of the 13 games the side has played. They are the only team to have already qualified for the playoffs and hence the side wouldn’t feel any pressure in this contest. The Royal Challengers had lost against the Gujarat Titans earlier by a big margin and this would be on their minds. With their backs against the wall, it remains to be seen if RCB has the spirit to defeat the strongest side in this tournament.

The 54-run loss against the Punjab Kings has hurt Faf du Plessis’ side Royal Challengers Bangalorebadly. Though they are placed 4th on the points table they can’t afford to relax. They have three other sides breathing around their neck and their poor run rate doesn’t offer them any room to relax. A loss might end their hopes of making it to the next round. The side would have to produce its best show as they take on the strongest side against whom they had lost previously.

Virat Kohli has had a miserable season by his standards and Royal Challengers Bangalore would need him to strike gold in this game as he openings the batting with skipper Faf du Plessis. The middle-order trio of Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, and Mahipal Lomror must convert their starts as this has been one of the concerns for the team. Dinesh Karthik has played well in the role of a finisher, and he will have to add quick runs with Wanindu Hasaranga.

Their bowling attack hasn’t been in the best of form and the side would expect a good start from spinner Glenn Maxwell and pacer Josh Hazlewood. Wanindu Hasaranga has been the only bowler to have shown consistency and the side would need a grand show from the Sri Lankan spinner against Gujarat’s strong batting line-up. Pacers Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj, and spinner Shahbaz Ahmed must strike form for the side to win here.

Gujarat Titans have been the team to watch in this tournament. Hardik Pandya has led the new franchise excellently and they are already through into the Qualifiers. Their bowlers did an excellent job in the last game and helped the side to a 7-wicket win against the Chennai Super Kings. This is the last league game for the side and Hardik Pandya would like his players to build momentum by winning this game ahead of the playoffs.

Gujarat Titans openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill have been star performers for the team, and they would aim to set up a good opening wicket stand. In the middle order team’s skipper, Hardik Pandya has done well and he would look to add runs with Matthew Wade. Finishers David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, and Rashid Khan have played good knocks down the order, and this has brought the X-Factor to the side’s performance this season.

Pacer Mohammad Shami has been among the best bowlers this season and the side would like to see an impressive spell from him and Hardik Pandya with the new ball. Spinner Rashid Khan has made good use of his experience and troubled the best batsmen.

Alzarri Joseph played a good hand with the ball in the last game after poor performances in previous games. The side would also expect to see good efforts from pacer Yash Dayal and spinner Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore.
