Buttler scored a quickfire 54 off 24 balls against Gujarat Titans, He is currently the owner of the Purple Cap. The Royals have looked a bit too dependent on Buttler to get them off to good starts. They have lacked the firepower once he has been dismissed.

Padikkal is being persisted at the top of the order instead of Yashasvi Jaiswal who was dropped after a couple of matches. However, the southpaw is yet to find his consistency at the top of the order. He will hope to come good against KKR.

Sanju Samson

Ravichandran Ashwin batted at number three against the Titans, a decision that surprised many. Sanju Samson should come back to his usual position and get in among scoring runs. He scored a run-a-ball 11. He looked to be struggling even to rotate the strike before he was eventually dismissed.

Rassie Van Der Dussen / Daryl Mitchell

Van der Dussen has been chosen over Daryl Mitchell in the past few games. However, the Kiwi all-rounder might be a better choice against KKR, given that with him there is an additional bowling option. The Royals bowlers went for over 190 in their previous game and if any of the bowlers have a bad day, Mitchell can fill in.

Shimron Hetmyer

The southpaw has been batting well for the Rajasthan Royals in the middle-order. He has been playing handy cameos which makes him an automatic pick in the XI. Shimron Hetmyer has been impressive so far for the Royals.

Riyan Parag

Despite low returns, Rajasthan Royals has been happy to persist with him. Runs from him is still not guaranteed. He can also chip in with a few overs if required.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin has not been that successful so far this season so far. He batted at number three for the Royals last match and bowled wicketless spell. He has 23 wickets against KKR, the most against any team in the IPL.

Prasidh Krishna

The former KKR pacer will be up against his former team. He has been bowling well so far for the Royals and has taken four wickets so far this season. Against Gujarat Titans, he bowled a wicketless spell for 35 runs.

Trent Boult

Boult missed the game against Gujarat Titans due to a slight niggle and he should be back against KKR. The southpaw has taken seven wickets from four games before missing the last game.

Yuzvendra Chahal

The leggie is topping the Purple Cap list at the moment with 12 wickets from five games. In the last game against the Titans, Chahal took 1 for 32 and the wicket of Abhinav Manohar.

Navdeep Saini

Saini can replace Kuldeep Sen for the Royals given that he was expensive against the Titans. With Saini, the Royals will field three pacers and two spinners which seems to be their best bowling line-up for this game.
