In their previous match, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets. With 65 by Abhishek Sharma and 56 by Aiden Markram, SRH posted a mountainous total of 195-6. Later, With 68 by Wriddhiman Saha, an unbeaten 40 by Rahul Tewatia, and 11-ball-31 quickfire by Rashid Khan, Gujarat managed to chase the total on the final ball.
