SRH vs PBKS: We Lost Key Moments – Anil Kumble Breaks Silence On Punjab Kings' Inconsistent Run In IPL 2022

Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) head coach Anil Kumble opened up on the team’s inconsistent run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and said that they lost key moments of the games throughout the tournament.

Punjab Kings were able to assemble a strong unit at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and many felt that the Mayank Agarwal-led side will dominate the 15th edition of the tournament but it didn’t happen as they were inconsistent and they failed to win back-to-back games in the cash-rich league.

Currently, PBKS are in the 7th spot on the points table with 6 wins and 7 defeats from 13 outings.

In a video shared by PBKS on their social media handles, Anil Kumble said that the team was not consistent and they will have to work on finding consistency in upcoming seasons. He added that there were a lot of positives for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 and expressed disappointment at not being able to make it to the top-4. He said:

“Every new team requires time to get used to players and their respective roles. So, it takes time. I think we lost key moments. The team wasn’t consistent and that’s something that we certainly need to find a way to bring better consistency in the coming seasons.

“There are a lot of positives, but at the same time, disappointed that we couldn’t make it.”

Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) will lock with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the last league stage game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Punjab Kings’ head coach said that they will go all guns blazing in their last league stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and will bag two points. He stated:

“We are definitely going to go all guns blazing against SRH. It’s a must-win game for us and we’ll certainly do that and look to get those two points in the last game.”

Notably, the playoffs of IPL 2022 have been confirmed as Gujarat Titans will take on Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 and Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Eliminator of IPL 2022.
