Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo opened up about a light interaction he had with his teammate and friend, Ambati Rayudu, during the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Bravo and Rayudu wanted to come back to CSK as they were quite attached to the franchise. However, during the auction, they were trying to pull each other’s leg, with Bravo saying that Rayudu will likely go unsold.

I am his biggest nightmare. We both were messaging each other on Instagram throughout the entire auction process and the build-up to the auction. ‘Oh, you’re going to go unsold. No one is going to buy you.‘”

All these rubbish talks with each other. But we both wanted to be back in CSK and I know he was happy for me, I was happy for him that we are going to be back again,” Bravo told CSK in a video shared on their Twitter account.

Having played most of their IPL career for the Chennai franchise, neither of them wanted to shift bases. Playing under MS Dhoni is also every other player’s dream and the duo would be thrilled to have another opportunity to do so.

Amba did not want to play for another franchise. He irritates me too much now so I am going to stay away from him. We’re going to fight again as normal this season. As long as we keep fighting and keep winning, that’s important,” Bravo also revealed.

The IPL 2022 season begins on March 26 and is likely to finish by May 29.
