Brian Lara, Dale Steyn, Simon Katich Part Of New SRH Coaching Staff For IPL 2022

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have revealed their new coaching staff and the West Indies batting legend Brian Lara has joined the franchise as a batting coach and strategic advisor.
Legendary South African pacer Dale Steyn who on 31 August announced his retirement from all forms of the game has been roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad as a fast-bowling coach. Also, Former Indian cricketer, Hemang Badani has been given a dual role of a fielding coach and a scout in the team.

Meanwhile, the former Australian batter Simon Katich who was the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise has been appointed as an assistant coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will be replacing Brad Haddin in the franchise who was with the Orange army as an assistant coach.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have parted ways with head coach Trevor Bayliss, and Tom Moody has been appointed as the new head coach of the team. Also, VVS Laxman had to leave the franchise after joining the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore after Rahul Dravid’s departure. Legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan however has been retained by the franchise and he will be the strategy and spin bowling coach.
The changes in the team have been made after the terrible run of the team in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. In the season the team was led by David Warner and then Kane Williamson and in both India and UAE legs the team failed to perform well and finished at the bottom of the table.
