Royal Challengers Bangalore has cleared the air on the Indian Premier League future of AB de Villiers. The Bangalore franchise has confirmed that AB de Villiers will continue to play for their team.
Meanwhile, AB de Villiers had surprisingly called it a day yesterday. de Villiers had confirmed that he is retiring from the International arena. However, the South African talismanic batsman had also cleared the air that he will continue to play for his domestic team, Titans.
AB de Villiers will continue to play in the domestic T20 leagues across the world.
Consequently, de Villiers would be seen plying on his trade in the different T20 leagues across the globe. Hence, the Royal Challengers Bangalore has also confirmed that de Villiers will carry on to play for them.
De Villiers played 114 Test matches, 228 One-Dayers and 78 Twenty20 Internationals for the South African team. He scored 8,765 runs in the red-ball form, 9,577 runs in the 50-over format and 1,672 runs in the shortest form.
Meanwhile, de Villiers recently played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. The right-hander scored 480 runs in the 11 innings he played in the season. It is well known that AB de Villiers is always instrumental in the success of the Bangalore franchise.
