IPL 2021: Watch! Virat Kohli Shares Batting Tips With Venkatesh Iyer Post Latter's Impressive Debut In KKR vs RCB Match

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli shared some batting tips with Venkatesh Iyer after the RCB vs KKR encounter of IPL 2021 UAE leg. The KKR batsman Venkatesh Iyer made an impressive debut in IPL 2021. He smacked an unbeaten 41-run knock as KKR defeated RCB by 9 wickets.

The Virat Kohli-led RCB gave a miserable batting show in the match. With most of the batsmen losing their wickets for single-digit scores, they were bowled out for just 92 runs. Later, Kolkata Knight Riders comfortably chased down the target in 10 overs and won the match by 9 wickets. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell bowled fabulous spells, picking 3 wickets each.

Post the match, Venkatesh Iyer chatted with Virat Kohli. The RCB skipper gave some crucial batting tips to the KKR player. Venkatesh Iyer made no mistake while making his IPL debut for KKR. The left-handed batsman opened the innings with Shubman Gill. Both of them made an 82-run stand for the first wicket. After Gill lost his wicket for 48, Iyer scored the winning runs for the team. During his 41-run knock off 27 balls, Iyer hit 1 six and 7 fours.

KKR dominated RCB throughout the match. While bowling, the Eoin Morgan-led side did not allow any RCB batsmen to smash a big knock. Later while batting, they kept their wickets and batted at a good run-rate to win the match with ease. Varun Chakravarthy was awarded player of the match scalping 3 wickets.

With the victory, KKR reached the 5th spot in IPL 2021 points table. The team has won 3 matches and lost 5 out of 8 so far and has 6 points. On the other hand, RCB take the 3rd spot in the points table. Out of 8 games, RCB have won 5 matches and lost 3.

Chennai Super Kings, who defeated Mumbai Indians by 20 runs in the opening game of IPL 2021 UAE leg, hold the top spot in the points table with 12 points. in the next game, Punjab Kings will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on September 21 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
