They are on a winning streak at the moment with three straight wins and have qualified for the playoffs as well. They have proved that their dismal run in IPL 2020 was one of the rarest occasions.

This will also mark their 11th season of making it to the playoffs and they have been very consistent over the years. They have the best net run rate as well among the franchises this season and are likely to end up in the top two places. They are currently on 16 points from 10 games and their immediate task in the upcoming games will be looking to hold up their first two slots. Since CSK has already qualified for the playoffs and their next assignment will be held to on to the top two slots. CSK will finish in the top two if they win two of their remaining 4 games. They can afford to lose 2 games and that is an extraordinary luxury to have at the moment. They will also be aware that they can drop down to the third position if they lose all their remaining four games.

CSK’s upcoming fixtures will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings and their important game will be against Delhi which could be a rehearsal of the first qualifier. MS Dhoni has captained the side really well and has taken the side to the playoffs by marshalling the troops perfectly. He has answered all the questions that have been prevailing over after a poor season previously.

CSK’s next assignment will be against the Sunrisers Hyderabad tomorrow at the Sharjah stadium and the men in yellow will start as the favourites to win this game.
