Explained: How MI Can Qualify For IPL 2021 Playoffs. Mumbai Indians have got a breather now after the loss for the Rajasthan Royals yesterday against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021. They still have their fortunes in their own hand and if they can better than the net run rate in the coming games, they will progress to the playoffs in their own efforts. They are fifth in the points table with 5 wins in 11 games at the moment.

However, Mumbai Indians still have some issues in their batting lineup especially with Suryakumar Yadav not being among the runs and it can happen to any batsman. They decided to drop Ishan Kishan in the previous game and Saurabh Tiwary came off really well in the game against Punjab. Here is how MI can qualify for IPL 2021 playoffs.

How MI Can Still Qualify For IPL 2021 Playoffs:

Mumbai Indians with their win against PBKS are still effectively in the race for the playoff, and winning all their remaining games will be their primary task. They have three games in hand against the DC, SRH, and the RR and even if they lose one out of these games, they have to make sure they win the other two games very comprehensively and by a big margin.

Mumbai Indian’s net run rate is the third-lowest in the season and only SRH and RR are behind them. They will be hoping that KKR loses at least two of their remaining games which will make it a little easier for the Mumbai side. The Rohit Sharma-led side will face a stiff challenge from the Delhi Capitals side who have looked prolific so far.

It could come down to the slightest of margins in the end, and MI has scraped through into the playoffs in the past. The defending champions are unstoppable when they start to peak around and their next assignment will be up against the Delhi Capitals side on Saturday.
