Explained: How Mumbai Indians (MI) Can Qualify For IPL 2021 Playoffs. Mumbai Indians had a tough day in the office with the results of both the games in a doubleheader not going their way and their chances of IPL 2021 playoffs look sluggish.

Their net run rate isn’t helping them either and they had lost their opportunity of having their fortunes in their own hand after the loss against the Delhi Capitals yesterday. They have dropped one place to the seventh position after RR’s comprehensive win against CSK.

Mumbai Indians batting lineup has struggled against spin bowling and has lacked the intent in scoring runs too. Suryakumar Yadav‘s poor form has been one of their major concerns this year but still, they are mathematically in the equation. They will definitely have to wait for other results as well and here is how Mumbai Indians can qualify for IPL 2021 playoffs.

How Mumbai Indians Can Still Qualify For IPL 2021 Playoffs:

Mumbai Indians’ primary task from here on will be to win the remaining two games and then hope that they can pass through by 14 points or net run rate. They have two games in hand against the SRH, and the RR and they have to win both those games by a big margin which is not going to be easy.

Mumbai Indian’s net run rate is the second-lowest in the season and only SRH and RR are behind them. They will be hoping that KKR, RR, and PBKS lose at least one of their remaining games which will make it a little easier for the Mumbai side. However, they need to come up with different plans in the next game as they haven’t been able to excel through these plans.

It could come down to the slightest of margins in the end, and MI has scraped through into the playoffs in the past. The defending champions are unstoppable when they start to peak around and their next assignment will be up against the Rajasthan Royals side on Tuesday evening.
