Rajasthan Royals would have been heartened by the result of yesterday’s game between CSK and SRH in IPL 2021 and they will now face stiff competition from other teams. SRH is almost out of the equation for the playoffs now after their loss to CSK yesterday and this means that Rajasthan will now compete against PBKS, KKR, and MI for the 4th spot.

Rajasthan Royals are currently on 8 points from 11 games with three consecutive losses and they need some momentum to get things back in the fray. They are at the seventh position in the points table with a negative net run rate of -0.468 which is the second-worst at the moment among the franchises. Here is how Rajasthan Royals can still qualify for IPL 2021 playoffs.

How Rajasthan Royals Can Still Qualify For IPL 2021 Playoffs

Rajasthan Royals would have had a breather if could have pulled off a win against RCB and now it does look very hard for them. They will have to win all their remaining games and every game will be against the in-form teams of CSK, KKR, and MI. The games against these teams will not be easy any means and they will have their task cut out.

Royals will not only need to win their remaining games, but also they will have to win at least two games by huge margins to get their net run rate above. They can afford to play for a win against CSK, and try to go hard against KKR and MI to move above them in the points table. Sanju Samson has looked very good so far in the tournament for the RR and the franchise will rely a lot on their skipper.

The likes of Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia haven’t been effective enough with bat or ball and they definitely need to make way for other players. Rajasthan’s next game will be against the Chennai Super Kings on Saturday evening and it will be a huge game for Samson’s side.
