Chennai Super Kings were in great form coming into this game with an unbeaten streak of five games in IPL 2021 and CSK managed to put up a big total on the board. Faf du Plessis’s half-century and Moeen Ali’s 58, set up the likes of Ambati Rayudu’s scintillating 72 off just 27 balls. CSK posted 218 for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs quota.

Mumbai Indians started off well but were down to 81 for the loss of 3 wickets in the 10th over and had a huge responsibility. Pollard came into the crease with 87 off 34 balls with eight sixes and six fours and took the game apart from the Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai won the game in the end with four wickets in hand.
