The Delhi Capitals (DC) clash with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 33 of IPL 2021 on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

There has been a covid-19 scare in the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp with pacer T Natarajan testing positive for the virus. However, the game will go on as decided after the rest of the contingent tested negative, including Natarajan’s six close contacts who have been placed in isolation.

The two sides are sitting far away from each other in the points table after the first half of the season. Rishabh Pant’s team is placed second after 6 wins and 2 losses while Kane Williamson’s SRH have lost 6 and won just a solitary match, and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

On Wednesday, DC aim to overtake CSK with a victory and reach closer to sealing a playoff berth while SRH, the 2016 champions, look to stay alive in the competition. On head to head record, SRH have won 11 games against Delhi who have clinched 8 victories over the orange army, including the super over win earlier this season.

Their previous encounter, in Chennai, went down the wire with Pant’s side prevailing in the super over. Prithvi Shaw was the Player of the Match for his scintillating 39-ball 53 while Axar Patel kept his cool bowling in the super over.
