A blockbuster of a Sunday had gotten over with two high-intensity games, and it had taken a big toll on the franchises’ fortunes in IPL 2021. The first game of the day saw the Kolkata Knight Riders going down to the mighty Chennai Super Kings side in a close encounter. However, Ravindra Jadeja’s quick cameo at the end helped CSK get over the line by just two wickets.

In the other game, Virat Kohli’s troops had produced a clinical performance against the defending champions Mumbai Indians and have a stronghold of the 3rd position at the moment. However, Mumbai’s batting has been pretty ordinary, making it hard to chase down scores, and it is all not looking suitable for the Rohit led side.

Shikhar Dhawan is still at the top in the race for the Orange cap with 430 runs in 10 games followed by 401 runs for KL Rahul. However, RCB’s Harshal Patel still holds the purple cap with  23 wickets to his name.
