Siddhesh Lad plays for the Mumbai team in the domestic circuit and has been around for a long time now. He has been part of two franchises with Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders opting for him. His father was the childhood coach of current Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and both played together until the 2019 season.

Siddhesh Lad was benched for three seasons and he had to wait till the 2019 season to make his debut for the Mumbai Indians in place of injured Rohit. He did get a good start to his IPL career as he started with a six but was dismissed for just 15 runs in the innings. He was transferred to the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the auction in 2020 and he still waits for his opportunity to showcase his skills.
