Adam Gilchrist was the captain of the Kings XI Punjab in the 2011 IPL and he pulled off a stunning century to take the team total to 232 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. In the process, he hit the South African pacer Charl Langeveldt in the mid-wicket region for a big 122 meter six.

It is still the third-longest six in the history of IPL and Punjab won the game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore easily by a margin of 111 runs. Gilchrist was the star of the show scoring 106 runs in 55 balls with nine sixes and eight fours in the innings.
