IPL 2021 starts on April 9, 2021, with the first match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match is scheduled to be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which is one of the six venues of IPL 2021. Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Lions match in IPL 2016 was an exciting game. While batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 143-8 in 20 overs. Parthiv Patel was the highest run-scorer for Mumbai with 34 runs. Krunal Pandya scored 20 runs and Tim Southee hit 25 runs, in the end, to pile up some more runs for Mumbai Indians.

In the 2nd innings, Aaron Finch scored 67 runs for Gujarat Lions. In the last 2 overs, Gujarat Lions needed 13 runs. Mumbai’s Mitchell McClenaghan bowled a fantastic penultimate over giving away just 2 runs and taking 2 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah bowled the final over and needed to defend 11 runs. The ball went to the final ball with Gujarat needing 1 run off the last delivery. Aaron Finch smashed a boundary and took the game away from Mumbai Indians.
