RR vs CSK: Weather Forecast And Pitch Report of Sheikh Zayed Stadium- IPL 2021 Match 47. Rajasthan Royals face off Chennai Super Kings in the 47th match of IPL 2021 on Saturday. The two teams find themselves at the opposite ends of the points table. Rajasthan Royals are currently sitting at the seventh position, having managed to secure only 4 wins this season in 11 matches.

They are coming into the game on the back of three consecutive losses. Their chances of making it into the playoffs are hanging by a thread. If they ought to reach the top four, they have to win their remaining three games and maintain a healthy net-run rate. Their recent form, though, doesn’t encourage a lot of optimism.

Rajasthan Royals played their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Evin Lewis and Yashavsi Jaiswal gave the side a brisk start. The duo took on the bowlers right from the onset and produced a 75-run partnership for the opening wicket. Jaiswal got out after scoring 31 off 22 balls, however, Ewin Lewis kept finding boundaries at the other end.

He, eventually, got out in the 12th over after scoring 58 off 37 balls. Unfortunately, his wicket triggered a heart-breaking collapse as RR only managed to score 49 runs for 7 wickets thereafter. None of the batsmen stepped up in the latter half of the innings as RR were restricted to 149 runs.

The bowlers fought hard but the total proved under-par on a good batting surface of Dubai. RCB chased down the score in just 17.1 overs. Chris Morris was smashed for 50 runs in his quota of four overs, while Rahman picked 2 for 20 in 3 overs.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are in scintillating form. CSK have won all matches they have played in the second leg of IPL 2021. They won the last game against SRH by 6 wickets to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2021. CSK currently find itself at the top of the table with 9 wins in 11 matches.

Chennai Super Kings exhibited an all-round performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday. A superb bowling effort from the bowlers helped them restrict SRH to 134 runs in the first innings. Hazlewood was brilliant in the powerplay as well as in the death overs.

He finished with figures of 3 for 24 runs in 4 overs, including the wicket of Jason Roy. DJ Bravo was brought into the attack as early as in the seventh over. He reaped rewards after picking the wicket of Kane Williamson to dent SRH’s hope of putting on a strong total on the board. He picked 2 wickets for 17 runs in his four overs.

SRH needed early wickets to make a comeback but CSK openers weren’t in the mood to get out early. Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad gave the team an ideal start with the bat, adding 75 runs for the opening wicket. Ruturaj Gaikwad got out after scoring 45 off 38 deliveries, but du Plessis continued scoring boundaries.

Moeen Ali and Faf du Plessis added another 28 runs for the second wicket to dash all the hopes of Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK, eventually, chased down the score in 19.4 overs.

The last game played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium was played between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. The wicket was coming on much better on the bat as compared to previous games. As a result, batsmen found it slightly easier. The fast bowlers, however, will continue to get some assistance. Though, because of the hot and humid conditions, it won’t be easy for them to bowl at a great pace.
