Rajasthan Royals will be taking on Mumbai Indians in the 51st match of IPL 2021 on Monday. Rajasthan Royals are at number five position on the points table. They are still in the hunt of making the playoffs.

And, given the form they are in, they can certainly win in their remaining two matches and boost their chances. Rajasthan Royals have registered five wins in 12 matches thus far and would be aiming to win in their next two as well.

Sanju Samson and Co. played their last game against Chennai Super Kings. They registered a seven-wicket win against the table-toppers in what turned out to be was a high-scoring encounter. Chennai Super Kings batted first and notched a formidable total of 189 runs in 20 overs.

Ruturaj Gaikwad starred for them, having scored a century off just 60 deliveries. RR’s bowling unit looked out of sorts as they were clobbered all across the park. Rahul Tewatia picked three wickets during the innings but, other than that, there wasn’t any solid contribution from other bowlers. Till the first innings, CSK had the upper hand in the game and were on course to register another win. However, what followed was an absolute carnage from RR batsmen.

Ewin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 70 runs in the first six overs. Ewin Lewis scored 27 off 12 balls before getting out in the 6th over. Yashasvi Jaiswal, on the other hand, played an outstanding knock of 50 runs off just 21 deliveries, a knock which was laced with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Later, Shivam Dube overshadowed both the knocks as he blazed his way to an unbeaten 64-run knock off 42 balls. He hit some gigantic sixes during his knock and, in the process, helped his side chase down the score in just 17.3 overs.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are coming off a four-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals. Once again, the batting unit faltered on a slow surface of Sharjah Cricket Ground. Rohit Sharma (7 off 10) and Quinton de Kock (19 off 18) failed to give a strong start.

Surya Kumar Yadav and Sourabh Tiwary played decent looking cameos but failed to convert those big scores. Hardik Pandya took his time, having scored 17 off 18 balls, but just when it was time to go for big hits, he too perished. Mumbai Indians, in the end, could only manage to score 129.

The bowlers bowled at great areas and made a great start with the ball. However, Shreyas Iyer held firm and kept the scoreboard ticking. He played an unbeaten 33-run knock to guide the team to victory in 19.1 overs.
