Later, CSK openers came up with astonishing batting at the start. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 75 runs while Faf fu Plessis smacked 56. Both the openers also made an opening stand of 129 runs. With such an incredible partnership at the start, CSK managed to win the match in 18.3 overs. Rashid Khan was the only successful bowler for SRH who picked 3 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won their previous encounter of IPL 2021 against Rajasthan Royals. It was SRH’s second victory in the tournament. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals put up 164-5 on the scoreboard. Sanju Samson played a marvellous 82-run knock while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 36 runs.

With a 60-run knock by opener Jason Roy and unbeaten 51 runs by skipper Kane Williamson, SRH managed to win the match in 18.3 overs. SRH lost only 3 wickets in the game. Jason Roy, who was picked ahead of David Warner as an opener, won the man of the match award for his brilliant knock.
