SRH vs RR: Match Preview- IPL 2021 Match 40. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming clash of IPL 2021. The SRH vs RR match will take place on September 27 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both the teams hold the bottommost positions in IPL 2021 points table.

While RR hold the 7th spot in the points table with 8 points, SRH hold 8th place with just 2 points. RR have won 4 games and lost 5 out of 9. SRH have only won 1 match out of 9 games and lost 8. In the previous RR vs SRH encounter of IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals bagged victory by 55 runs.

RR batted first in the match. RR opener Jos Buttler smacked a century of 124 runs off just 64 balls. Skipper Sanju Samson also hit spectacular 48 runs. With their powerful knocks, RR reached a mammoth total of 220/3 batting first.

Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow scored 31 and 30 runs respectively. Later, one-down Kane Williamson hit 20 runs and no other batsmen could reach the 20-run mark. SRH lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end, they could reach only 165-8. Hence, they lost the match by 55 runs in the end. RR bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Chris Morris picked 3 wickets each.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are struggling with their worst IPL season this year. The team has played 9 matches so far and has won just 1 match. They are almost out of the race to the playoffs. They hold the last 8th spot in the points table with 2 points.

In their last encounter, SRH lost to Punjab Kings. SRH had a target of just 126 but the team could not bat well against the PBKS bowling attack. Wriddhiman Saha scored 31 and Jason Holder scored 47 runs but they could not get the winning runs. In the end, SRH reached 120-7 and lost the match by 5 runs.

Rajasthan Royals hold the 7th spot in the IPL 2021 points table with 8 points. Out of 9 games, RR have won 4 and lost 5. In their last match, they lost to Delhi Capitals by 33 runs. Delhi Capitals batted first in the match. RR bowled nicely at the start, dismissing both the DC openers cheaply.

However, with Shreyas Iyer’s 43, DC reached 154-6 in 20 overs. Later, RR witnessed Sanju Samson hitting 70 runs. However, other batsmen could not support Samson and with a slow run rate, the team could pile up only 121-6 on the board in 20 overs.
