With Rohit Sharma being a right-handed opener, one among the four above-mentioned players can be an ideal foil to the Mumbai Indians skipper. Lewis and De Kock have played for Mumbai previously. De Kock was also a crucial member of the side. Thus it is very expected that the franchise will try their best to rope in the southpaw. He also solves their quest for a top-order wicketkeeper-batsman.

Middle-Order- Ishan Kishan, Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav

While Kishan played with the franchise till 2021, Rahane is a Mumbai player and Kedar Jadhav has been a good player in the IPL. Out of these three players, Mumbai would definitely want to get back Kishan as he provides them with more than one option. He is a wicketkeeper and someone who can bat at the top and the middle-order. He forged a great partnership with Suryakumar Yadav for the few seasons that they batted together.

Ajinkya Rahane is one of the veterans of the IPL. He was at his best with Rajasthan Royals but now he has grown into a more mature player. He did not get many opportunities with Delhi Capitals but can be a good fit in the middle-order for Mumbai.

In Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians have lost their talismanic all-rounder. Hardik along with Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard formed a formidable lower-order trio for Mumbai.

In Holder and Marsh, they have a like for like replacement for Hardik Pandya. Both of them are good with the bat and more than handy with the ball too. If the franchise managed to buy both it will be a great boost for the side.

Pacers- Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Deepak Chahar

Mumbai Indians are expected to fight to get back Trent Boult back. In case they fail, they must target the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Deepak Chahar. Both of them are good T20 bowlers. WHile Ranada is world-class, Chchar has made his reputation based on his bowling skills in the format. Bumrah and Chahar can be the ideal bowling combination playing regularly for the side.
