IPL 2023 extravaganza is set to begin on 31st March where the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) would lock horns against CSK. Skipper MS Dhoni had said in one of his interviews that he would bid adieu to IPL after playing in front of his home ground. This time, MS Dhoni has got a flamboyant all-rounder in the form of Ben Stokes.

It won’t be wrong to say that both the teams have an advantage at Narendra Modi stadium, as the pitch suits both pacers as well as spinners. GT would be banking on Rashid Khan to create havoc as the shrewd spinner has been in top-notch form & can be seen playing in leagues all around the world.

MS Dhoni is 100 percent playing- CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan

Earlier, there were reports that MS Dhoni had a little discomfort in his left knee where he skipped the training session. There were talks going on that Ruturaj Gaikwad or Ben Stokes would lead the side in his absence. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanath spoke to PTI & cleared all the rumours regarding MS Dhoni.

“As far as I am concerned, the skipper is 100 percent playing. I don’t know about any other development,” said CSK CEO Kasi Viswanath.

CSK would back themselves to chase a target in excess of 180 given the fact that they not only bat deep but have match-winners present in the team. It looks likely that Ben Stokes would hold one end where the rest of the batters would bat around him as we witnessed in T20 WC 2022.

GT have a wood over CSK as last time in IPL 2022, GT had won against CSK in both the matches. GT would be worried as David Miller won’t be present against CSK due to national duties. Sai Kishore could be the ‘X’ factor for GT where he could fox the batters with his variations.
