Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has responded to speculations that MS Dhoni will retire from the Indian Premier League after the 2023 season, claiming that the CSK captain is fit enough to play for two or three more seasons.
If Dhoni decides to continue playing for another 2-3 years, the fans and cricket fraternity will rejoice. His impact on the game has been enormous, and it will be wonderful to see him continue to perform at the top level.

In the upcoming Indian Premier League season, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are aiming for a record-equaling fifth title. To win the title, the team held a three-week intensive practice session at Chepauk, with the majority of the players there.

“He is fit enough to play a few more seasons”- Rohit Sharma
The upcoming season is being referred to be his final since the captain of the Chennai Super Kings will play in front of his home crowd in Chennai for the first time in a very long time. Rohit Sharma, captain of the Mumbai Indians, made the following statement regarding the probability that Captain Cool might play his final season of the IPL.
“I’ve been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season. I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons,” Rohit Sharma said in MI’s pre-season press conference.
Dhoni is an important member of the Chennai franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has made substantial contributions to the team’s success over the years. He has scored 4978 runs in 234 games and led his club to four IPL titles since the tournament’s debut in 2008.
