Some key domestic players that GT retained in their squad are Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Tewatia, and Shubman Gill. Some powerful overseas players that the IPL 2022 champions retained are Rashid Khan, David Miller, Matthew Wade, and Alzarri Joseph.
