IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Delhi Capitals (DC) Players Rajasthan Royals (RR) Can Target.  Delhi Capitals who still wait to enlist their name in the IPL winners list ended up in 5th position in the last IPL season-IPL 2022.

Delhi Capitals have won 7 games in the 14 games they played and pushed to 5th position in the IPL 2022 Points Table with a total point of 14. GMR Sports Pvt. Ltd & JSW Sports Pvt Ltd owned team have been inconsistent throughout the IPL 2022 season.

It is learned that ahead of IPL 2023 auction, all teams are asked to submit their final list of retained players by November 15, 2022. In order to avoid a massive collapse all teams will look to retain their star performers and will release the rest. It is expected that all teams will retain a maximum of 15 players ahead of the tournament. The likes of Mandeep Singh, Lalit Yadav, Pravin Dubey, and Ripal Patel may be released by the franchise before IPL 2023.

Rajasthan Royals had a memorable campaign during the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League 2022. They meant business from the very first game and finished second at the end of the group stage with nine wins in 14 games.

Sanju Samson & co. conquered Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier to reach the Final but failed to recreate history as they lost the summit clash to Gujarat Titans.

Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal led Rajasthan’s charge in the IPL 2022 season and were the winners of the Orange Cap and Purple Cap respectively. The think tank had done a pretty good job at the mega auction 2022 to assemble a quality squad and it clearly paid dividends.

Rajasthan Royals were the first-ever champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) way back in 2008, but after winning the inaugural season of the league, they lost their way for a long time and struggled to even make it to the playoffs consistently in the last decade.

However, during the last IPL 2022, after assembling a new team in the mega auction, Rajasthan Royals showed the old spark again under the captaincy of Sanju Samson and they made it to the final of the tournament before losing against the Gujarat Titans.

Ahead of the next IPL 2023 mini-auction, which will be held in mid-December, Rajasthan Royals might retain most of their players from the last year’s squad. Rajasthan Royals might release the likes of Rassie Van Der Dussen, Daryl Mitchell, Navdeep Saini, Karun Nair, and Obed McCoy.

With about 20 days left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises to release the players, the speculation is rife over the players who are on set to be let go and the biggest of them is a 31-year-old pacer, Shardul Thakur. The Indian all-rounder, who was currently in Australia with the T20 World Cup 2022 contingent, albeit in an unofficial capacity (as a reserve player), is likely to be released by the Delhi Capitals franchise.

Having been bought for INR 10.75 crore by the Delhi Capitals, Shardul Thakur’s performance may not have exactly met the requirement of value for money. He scored only 120 runs in 14 games he played last season – IPL 2022 and although he bagged 15 wickets, the 31-year-old had an economy rate of close to 10 with an average of 31.5. Rajasthan Royals-RR  might acquire the services of the pacer in IPL 2023 if he’s released by Delhi Capitals.
