IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Gujarat Titans (GT) Players Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Can Target. Against all expectations, Gujarat Titans went on to win IPL 2022. No one gave them a chance after the auction ended. However, the team management was brilliant with its utilization of resources and tactics.

As expected, LSG made it to the playoffs in their debut season, but they could not win the title. Lucknow finished third on the points table, meaning they had to play in the Eliminator match. Royal Challengers Bangalore knocked them out of the competition by defeating them in the Eliminator match.

Lucknow Super Giants may release Indian batter Manish Pandey, Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye, and Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis because of his hefty price tag before IPL 2023 auctions.

Yash Dayal

A new ball bowler, Yash Dayal was amongst the top 10 wicket takers in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2021-22 season. The 24-year-old from Allahabad was snapped up by the Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for a hefty sum of INR 3.2 crore.

There were a lot of keen bidders for the youngster in the auction, but it was GT who finally bought him in the end. He picked 11 wickets in 9 IPL 2022 games averaging 26.91. He may be bought by Lucknow if he’s available in the IPL 2023 auctions. In IPL 2023, he will be on LSG’s radar.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Gujarat Titans (GT) recruited Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz as a replacement for England’s Jason Roy, who pulled out of the IPL 2022 tournament and took an indefinite break from cricket. Rahmanullah Gurbaz joined Gujarat Titans at his base price of INR 50 Lakh and was the third Afghanistan cricketer alongside Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad to feature for the franchise.

However, the wicketkeeper batter never got a chance to play in presence of Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha. He had amassed 152 runs in Asia Cup 2022 averaging 30.4 and 68 runs in T20 World Cup 2022 averaging 22.67. He would be targeted by Lucknow if Gujarat release him before IPL 2023 auctions.

David Miller

After playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for a number of years, David Miller was bought by Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2020. Despite playing just one game in the IPL 2020, the franchise retained him for the IPL 2021, keeping in mind his ability to single-handedly change the course of the match. David Miller went unsold on Day 1 of the IPL 2022 mega auction but was recalled on the demand of the franchises.

Gujarat Titans bought him for INR 3 crore after placing the highest bid for the veteran. David Miller scored 481 runs in IPL 2022 averaging 68.71 at a strike rate of 142.73 with 2 fifties for Gujarat Titans but may be targeted by Lucknow in IPL 2023 mini auctions if he’s available.
