IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Young Indian Players That Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Might Bid For. Lucknow Super Giants were one of the two new franchises that made their debut in IPL 2022. The Lucknow-based franchise became the first one to represent Uttar Pradesh in the Indian Premier League. KL Rahul was named the captain of the team. The team management formed a stellar squad at the IPL 2022 mega auction.
As expected, LSG made it to the playoffs in their debut season, but they could not win the title. Lucknow finished third on the points table, meaning they had to play in the Eliminator match. Royal Challengers Bangalore knocked them out of the competition by defeating them in the Eliminator match. Lucknow Super Giants may release Indian batter Manish Pandey, Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye, and Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis because of his hefty price tag.

Umran Malik (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) already have fast bowlers like Indian pacer Avesh Khan and uncapped pacer Mohsin Khan, so if they add Sunrisers Hyderabad’s pace bowling sensation, Umran Malik, their pace bowling arsenal would be the one to watch out for in IPL 2023. They could then opt to give some of their pacers a much-needed rest between IPL 2023 games.
At 23, Umran Malik had everything you wanted from a fast bowler. A smooth, clean action, and clocking 150 kmph effortlessly which was enough to grab the right eyeballs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad identified their need for speed and retained him on their side along with Kane Williamson & Abdul Samad. Umran Malik has picked 24 scalps in 17 IPL games averaging 22.5.
Express pacer Umran Malik returned to the Indian squad and will feature in both T20I and ODI series against New Zealand right after T20 World Cup 2022 concludes. The Jammu and Kashmir pacer made his debut for India in the 20-over format. However, he was dropped following an unimpressive show in Indian colors. He did not feature in India’s plans for Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2022.
