Tilak Varma (Mumbai Indians)
Mumbai Indians have discovered a silver lining in a dark cloud in Tilak Varma. A member of India’s U19 World Cup squad in 2020, Tilak Varma was bought by Mumbai Indians for 1.7 crores and the franchise had to face off stiff competition from the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, and Rajasthan Royals to bag his services.
He scored 397 runs in 14 games averaging 36.09 at a strike rate of 131.02 in IPL 2022. If he’s released by his franchise Mumbai Indians, he will be targeted by Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023 as they have a weak middle order, although, they have IPL 2022 sensation Ayush Badoni and in-form all-rounder Deepak Hooda in the squad.
