IPL 2023 Auction: 405 Cricketers Shortlisted For The Mini-auction On December 23 In Kochi

On Tuesday, December 13, the complete list of the players who are set to go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023) auction was announced by the governing body.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 player auction, which will be a mini-auction, is set to be held on December 23 in Kochi. The window for the franchises to retain and release players ended on November 15 and 163 players were retained by the franchises whereas 85 players were released.

In addition to the money left over from the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and the value of the players they release, each team will have an additional INR 5 crore to spend at the Indian Premier League 2023 mini-auction. This will lead to the teams having a purse of INR 95 crore.

Meanwhile, a total of 991 players, including 714 Indians and 277 overseas, registered for the IPL 2023 mini-auction. Now, the board has shortlisted the players and announced the IPL 2023 Player Auction list.

IPL 2023 Player Auction List Announced

In total 405 cricketers are all set to go under the auction hammer on December 23 in Kochi. Initially, 369 players were shortlisted by 10 teams, but later 36 additional players were requested and they were added to the final list.

Among 405 cricketers, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. Also, a total of 119 capped players, 282 uncapped players, and 4 associate nation players will be entering the IPL 2023 mini-auction. A maximum of 87 players can be acquired in the auction of which 30 can be overseas.
