IPL 2023 Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Players, Squad, Retained Players List, Released Players List, Purse Value, Schedule, Players List.  Royal Challengers Bangalore finished fourth in IPL 2022 as their dreams of winning an IPL title were diminished. The side lost in the second qualifier against Rajasthan Royals to bow out of the tournament. Ultimately they ended with six losses this year.

It was a season of what-ifs again for RCB as they promised more than delivered. This year too they had a good side with almost all the bases covered. They had a good bowling attack, good spinners, and good finishers in Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell.

Virat Kohli had another different year as he opened for a few games and batted at number three in a few. One area of concern for the team was fining opener who would allow Virat Kohli to bat at three and dictate the game. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored over 400 runs but to no avail as the side failed to reach the finals once again.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) always had superstars in their lineups, from the now-Indian coach Rahul Dravid in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League, to the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle. Yet, they never have really gelled as a unit, and the title has remained elusive.

As per BCCI’s plan, the IPL 2023 mini-auction will take place on December 23 in Kochi, Kerala. BCCI had set the deadline for franchises to submit their list of retained and released players by November 15.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the unlucky teams in the Indian Premier League. The team has reached the IPL finals three times but has never managed to win the trophy. RCB finished as runners-up in IPL 2009, IPL 2011, and IPL 2016.

RCB’s loyal fans will hope that their team goes all the way next year in IPL 2023. They certainly have the team to do it. The likes of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, David Willey, Dinesh Karthik, and Wanindu Hasaranga make RCB a formidable T20 outfit.

RCB has traded Jason Behrendoff to the Mumbai Indians and released Sherfane Rutherford, Chama Milind, Luvnith Sisodia, and Aneeshwar Gautam. As RCB retained most of its players, it has a relatively small purse for the IPL 2023 mini-auction which will take place on December 23 in Kochi. It will be interesting to see how RCB bosses will fill the two overseas slots following the release of Jason Behrendroff and Sherfane Rutherford.
